Welcome

WELCOME to my blog and THANK YOU for taking the time out of your day to come visit.

So, let me tell YOU a little bit about ME ...

WHO am I?
A 30-something self-confessed Chinese-Thai foodie who was born in Hong Kong and grew up in England.

WHAT do I like?
I have a love of adventure, travel, writing, fashion and of course, food.  The latter being the thing that I am wholly PASSIONATE about.

WHERE am I?
I now live in South-East Asia where I split my time between Bangkok and Singapore.

STRANGE but true!
I was a runner on the first ever Fame Academy British TV show, and an A-List Hollywood actress bought some jewellery from me once upon a time.

WHICH restaurant would I most like to visit?
'Modern Toilet' in Taiwan - for the novelty factor - not because I am wierd!

And now, ABOUT my BLOG ...

WHAT is this blog about?
In its simplest form, it is a blog about one ordinary woman's experiences of eating out and sharing it with you.

WHEN did I start this blog?
Back in 2009 when I moved from London to Melbourne, Australia.

HOW did this blog come about?
I missed all my friends back home and I wanted a platform from which to share my experiences of living as an expat with them all.

Seeing how I live to eat, I decided to write about my experiences in one place rather than having to write lots of separate emails. And so My Food Odyssey was born.

WHY do I continue writing this blog?
It's serves as my online eating journal which allows me to channel my inner 'pig', with an excuse.  It also serves as a reminder of the many wonderful (and not so wonderful) places that I have eaten at.

HOW did YOU get here?
I have no idea, but I'm glad you did.  So thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this (and hopefully a blog post or two as well?!).

If you have ANY suggestions as to where I should go, please drop me a comment below.  I love to hear of new, wonderful, strange, exotic or even downright wierd places.

Oink, oink,

Miss Pig (a.k.a. Anna)

p.s. I'm working on the layout (very slowly) and seeing as I was never a good programmer (yes, I had to learn in a former life), it may take some time.
